Regular Season is on and the NBA Playoffs Teams are waiting to be chosen. The NBA playoffs will be upon us after the games of April 18th, and I’m not sure what’s better: That some teams will start trying again, or we won’t be subject to the best teams anymore. Thank goodness. One thing’s for certain, though. Making odds and handicapping the playoffs are different than doing it during the regular season.

The 2007 NBA Playoffs will be the postseason of the National Basketball Association's 2006-2007 season.
Consisting of 16 teams in 2 conferences, the playoffs involve nearly two months of play. The playoffs are conducted in four rounds of best-of-seven series. The three division winners in each conference, along with the five best non-division winners in each conference, qualify for the playoffs. The division winners and top second-place team are seeded first through fourth based on record, with the remaining teams seeded fifth through eighth on record.
Up until last year, the division winners earned the top three seeds in the conference; this was amended by the NBA on August 3, 2006 to rectify the problem highlighted by controversy in last year's playoffs. Under this new system, the teams with the two best records in the conference cannot meet until the conference finals, unlike last year, when the 63-win San Antonio Spurs and the 60-win Dallas Mavericks met in the conference semifinals.
The 2007 NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 18, 2007 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 2007 game will mark the first time that NBA All-Star is held in a city without an NBA team. Announced on August 5, 2006 it will be the 56th annual All-Star Game. The NBA, led by Commissioner David Stern, will allow wagering on the results of the game in the state of Nevada.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) will serve as the host organization for NBA All-Star 2007.
